During the Fall of 1998 one or more derelict skuas were observed and
photographed along the Atlantic Coast between Fernandina Beach and Boynton
Beach. Three records of this bird(s) were accepted as South Polar by the
FOS Records Committee (http://www.fosbirds.org/RecordCommittee/Fall00.htm).

As I recall, this bird was taken into rehab and later expired. Does anyone
on the list know if the specimen was preserved, and where it might now be
curated?
Later...
