Hi all,
Again things were slow migrant-wise this morning at John Chestnut Jr Park
on Lake Tarpon in northern Pinellas County. It was mainly an Ovenbird
day, with at least 5, maybe 6 seen. Most of them were squeaked in using
my trusty Audubon Bird Call (the little red one with the pewter twister).
Other birds seen were 1 Prothonotary Warbler, 1 Parula Warbler, 2 flyover
Warblers (sp.), and 1 Red-eyed Vireo, also the usual woodpeckers,
C.wrens, titmice, bluejays, cardinals, and waders. Heard 1 Red-shouldered
Hawk and saw a possible Cooper's Hawk.
Good birding,
Ray Smart
