Hi Meret and All,

It is not at all uncommon to occasionally run across a Laughing Gull with
red/orange legs and/or bill. This is just some type of aberration and not do
to hybridization.  Birding Magazine published by the ABA has a very good
article on this type of aberration when Tommie Rogers (former FL. birder)
sent in a few photos of a Laughing Gull with red legs and bill that were used
in one of their monthly "photo quiz" section. The issue is Vol. 32 #3, June
2000.
