Grambling State University is offering four distance graduate courses in
developmental education and learning assistance this fall. One of them is
being delivered by distance for the first time: DEED 605 Teaching Learning &
Study Skills. It will be taught by Professor Frank Christ (well known to all
learning assistance professionals) and Dr. Susan Hashway, associate
professor of developmental mathematics and NADE president-elect.

Here are the courses for fall 2002:

DEED 543 Nature & Needs of Developmental Students (3 cr hrs)
Instructor: Augusta Clark, PhD
Delivery: Video tapes/CDs, online

DEED 549 Problems & Issues in Developmental Education (3 cr hrs)
Instructors: Olatunde Ogunyemi, EdD, and William White, EdD, PhD
Delivery: Online

DEED 600 Advanced Studies of the Developmental Learner (3 cr hrs)
Instructor: Augusta Clark, PhD
Delivery: Videotapes/CDs, online

DEED 605 Teaching Learning & Study Skills (3 cr hrs)
Instructors: Frank Christ, MA, FFLA, and Susan Hashway, EdD
Delivery: Online

Grambling has reduced its fees for out-of-state, part-time graduate students
taking distance courses. A 3-hour course now costs $483; two 3-hour courses
cost only $748. The fall semester is rapidly approaching, so please contact
me immediately for more information about these courses and
application/registration procedures.
