I went birding around the county yesterday afternoon.  Nothing too exciting, but here are a few highlights...
At the Intercoastal Waterways Mudflats just off Amelia Island near A1A there was a single WHIMBREL.  Four GULL-BILLED TERNS were also present. Later in the day there were four AM. WHITE PELICANS with an assortment of waders.
RUDDY TURNSTONES and SANDERLINGS have returned to the Amelia Island beachfront for another season.
As a sidenote- Does anyone know if the White-faced Ibis is still being seen at St. Mark's?  I haven't seen any posts about it recently.
Good birding.
