About the topic
The number of pages of information available via the Internet has expanded
geometrically over the past several years. Websites have added more and
more functionality as businesses, governmental agencies and non profit
organizations have expanded their reach into the public domain and have
discovered new ways to exploit the evolving technologies. With this increase
in information and the functionalities that generate data, the records
management community has searched for answers on the best method to handle
the retention life of these new types of electronic documents and data. To
complicate matters WebPages may be dynamically generated. This presentation
will present a guideline for structuring an approach to scheduling Website
information. Rather than offering specific software solutions, a conceptual
model will be presented that can serve as the basis for developing practical
solutions.
