I am a classified employee (non-faculty, staff, etc.), and I am in charge of almost everything. My title is Learning Center (Tutoring Center) Specialist. I "direct" the work of the peer tutors, the professional tutors, and the learning assistants. Additionally, I hire and train all new peer tutors, and I am the lead on the team that hires the learning assistants. (The professional tutors are a new addition to our staff ane were rolled over from some prior short term "learning facilitators."). I report to the Dean of Business, Math, and Sciences. Tutors work PT. Some are adjuncts. Peer tutors have to have minimum B (Preferably A) in subject area, 3.0 GPA, recommendation.
