I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a hybrid American Avocet,
Recurvirostra americana X Black-necked Stilt, Himantopus mexicanus in
Florida? Take a look at these photos:

http://birdcentral.net/hybrid.htm

Stevenson and Anderston make no mention of hybrids for these species
although they are in the same family (Recurvirostridae).
