The Pranty guide lists the horned grebe as fairly common to common in
the central Florida area with it being common in November and very
common in December.

So far, I have seen very few postings for the central Florida area this
year. They were listed with good numbers in the 2003 CBC for the Cocoa
Beach, Daytona Beach and MINWR areas. Even saw it posted twice for the
Titusville Birding Festival.

I would like to get this life bird this weekend and would appreciate
any suggestions as to what areas would be best to check out. Also would
like to see the Redhead, Canvasback and Bufflehead ducks if they have
shown up.

Thanks,

Milton Plaugher
