TO: ALL GRADUATE STUDENTS

FROM: LAUREN PASQUARELLA DALEY, ASST DIRECTOR FOR GRADUATE SERVICES, UF
CAREER RESOURCE CENTER

RE: CAREER SHOWCASE

Are you graduating soon and wondering what you might do after graduation?
Come to the Spring 2005 Career Showcase on February 1st and 2nd from 9am to
3pm in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center to find out what opportunities might
be available for you!

Career Showcase is a perfect opportunity for graduate students to market
their skills to employers and find jobs in industry. There are currently 237
corporations or organizations coming to recruit students from the University
of Florida. Of those 237 companies, 146 indicated that they are specifically
interested in hiring master's students, 28 indicated that they are seeking
specialist students, and 38 indicated that they are seeking doctoral
students in a variety of different disciplines.

To better meet your needs, we have restructured Career Showcases into two
separate days. The first day, Tuesday February 1st, is for companies and
government organizations seeking students in technical fields like
engineering, computer science, construction, information systems/technology,
scientific research, research and development and other technical or
scientific areas. The second day, Wednesday February 2nd is for companies
and government organizations seeking students in non-technical fields such
as accounting, banking, consulting, human services, management, retail,
sales, and other fields without a scientific or technical focus. To find out
more about what companies are attending and other Career Showcase
information (such as the schedule of pre-Showcase events, what to bring with
you, how to prepare, etc.), please visit our web page at
http://www.crc.ufl.edu/showcase.
