To: All UF Graduate Students

From: UF Graduate School Data Management

RE: ONLINE GRADUATE STUDENT RESOURCES

Welcome back! We wish you a pleasant, productive and enriching new academic
year. Whether you are a new or returning graduate student, we would like to
bring to your attention some resources that you will find useful and helpful
as a graduate student at the University of Florida.

GIMS

GIMS (Graduate Information Management System) helps you keep track of your
student records, so you can make sure your majors, degree classifications,
thesis or dissertation supervisory committee assignments and other such data
are up-to-date and accurate.

You can access GIMS with your Gatorlink user ID and password through MyUFL.
Simply log onto MyUFL (https://my.ufl.edu/ps/signon.html), click on "Quick
Links" in the menu on the left side of the screen, and then click on "GIMS"
in the submenu that appears. Your current records will appear.

If you have any questions about your records as you see them on GIMS, please
contact the graduate coordinator or graduate staff member in your home
department.

UF Graduate School Website

The UF Graduate School website (http://gradschool.rgp.ufl.edu) provides you
with plenty of information, news, links and resources about graduate student
policies, procedures, issues, critical dates and campus life in an
attractive, easily navigable and user-friendly format. Please take time to
explore it.

Each of the website's four sections (Graduate Students, Graduate Diversity,
Graduate Editorial, and Graduate Faculty and Staff) has an alphabetized menu
on the left side of each webpage for easy exploration of the section's
contents, to help you find the information you need. There is also a
convenient search engine on the front page of the website.

In particular, keep an eye on the "What's New..." column on the website's
homepage (http://gradschool.rgp.ufl.edu), where graduate school news and
website additions will be announced, and its "Financial Aid Bulletin Board"
where the graduate school will post news of available fellowships, grants
and scholarships as it learns of them.

Thank you for your attention to these resources -- as well as for all you do
to make the University of Florida the top-notch institution of graduate
education, teaching and research that it is!
