Fifty minutes this morning, with as close to a flat sea as can be
expected this time of year. One northbound Common Loon. Quite a
few Northern Gannets moving steadily north (migration?) -- 145
clicked and several dozen more milling about. Two small flocks of
northbound Black Scoters (eight and five). No jaegers. I have not
seen one since 12/25/04.

At one point a nice feeding frenzy moving south only a couple of
hundreds yards off the beach -- about 30 cormorants, a couple dozen
or so gannets and pelicans, lots of gulls (including Bonaparte's)
and terns.

Later...
