Almost forgot the most important part...

Thanks to Bonnie Cary for the tour! She is a
naturalist and very skilled with plants and wildlife
in the area. She enjoyed learning the birdy side from
us and I do believe she is bitten.

And a plea from her.

DO NOT FEED THE SCRUB JAYS! They are trying to allow
them to forage naturally so they don't mis-interpret
their ability to feed new young after receiving
handouts and then having to actually find their REAL
food.

You might try to find a stray acorn, if you must, but
other than that...

Don't worry. If you go you will NOT have to try and
lure them.
