In general, people should (and, I believe, do) respond to the list; when one presses "reply," indeed, 'tis the list's address emblazoned upon the "to:" space.

If you're insecure about whether the answer will come to the group, and fear that the important information will be handed off in the outer regions of cyberspace, I humbly beseech thee, wait an hour before posting "me too!" because by then there will probably be several replies  granting that wish! You might even wish to ask that the replies to be made to the list, which would spare the other citizens (also pining for the information) from having to make their own requests for the information.  After all, that is what the list is for:  sharing information with everyone.

I suspect I am aggrieved not so much by hitting the "delete" key, but simply at the inelegant superfluousity.  And, of course, if it is the most grievous thing to befall this day, I shall be blest indeed.
