Hi, Susan: We are in the middle of reviewing some tablet technology to support synchronous online tutoring. Our plan (read here "vision of grandeur") is to use Macromedia's Meeting software as the platform. This will offer synchronous video capability as well as a whiteboard for calculations. We are fiddling with a few tablets - connected to the laptop via USB - to find the best arrangement. We have experimented with mouse stylus variations, MS paint, and the mathematics/scientific font in MS Word, but have yet to find something intuitive. Hi LRNASST colleagues, Does anyone offer online math tutoring? If so, how does it work-through whiteboard technology? I'm dying to find out how to do this but can't seem to find anyone who is actually doing it. My idea is that we would use a telephone for realtime online tutoring. Then I envision a pad and a stylus. For us, the students who would most benefit from online tutoring are also those who would have a hard time understanding any instruction that was typed.
