DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH ON INTERCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT, 
MOSAIC CULTURAL INSTITUTE 
(Position  # 2661)

SALARY:	$3,704.00 / Per month

DUTIES:	
The Director for Research on Intercultural Development at the Mosaic Cultural Institute (MCI) determines specialized research goals and objectives for faculty, staff and students of color at ULV.  The Director for Research on Intercultural Development is responsible for securing grant funding from corporations, foundations, and federal, state, and local governments. Duties for this position include submitting letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals; adhering to financial source’s fiscal regulations and guidelines; maintaining tracking systems on grant proposal submissions; and providing regular reports on grant activities.  Other duties include investigating indicators and pedagogies that retain faculty, staff and students of color in institutions of higher education; and collecting and interpreting all qualitative/quantitative research data while working in conjunction with the Mosaic Cultural Institute’s Faculty Research Director to publish research findings and present at national conferences. Lastly, the Director for Research on Intercultural Development is also responsible for managing and sponsoring seminars on academic/educational initiatives to support and reflect an increasingly diverse campus population; other duties as required.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:	
	This position requires a Master’s degree
	Some experience with SAS and/or SPSS 
	Experience with large data sets with complex file structures

Grant writing experience and a doctorate are preferred.  The hiring rate is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity.
