As Math ELC Coordinator, I have hired both adjunct faculty and tutors in order to provide Math tutorial services to our students. Adjuncts server as "Super Tutors", and provide help to our regular tutors and/or students if they need assistance with a particular problem/question. I think it's a great idea to have adjuncts and tutors interact. A new twist for me is the opportunity to hire adjunct faculty as tutors along with student peer tutors. Any suggestions as to guidelines for hiring faculty and also for managing a center with both faculty and peer tutors?
