Summer is here. Time to renew and recharge. Time to consider how you might
integrate technology into your developmental courses or programs to make
them more successful.

One way to recharge is to spend a week attending TIDE (the Technology
Institute for Developmental Educators). Here you collaborate with
developmental educators from around the country learning how to integrate
technology into your work with your students. You'll work in small groups
and individually constructing technology projects that have been waiting to
be completed mentored by Dave Caverly, Russ Hodges, Lucy MacDonald, Rich
Sheets, and Karen Anglin.

Over the last seven years, past participants have developed or expanded an
online tutoring program, constructed a professional or learning center
webpage, learned how to apply best practices for teaching online and to
provide online learner support, created instructional or informational
videos, and prepared technology workshops for their colleagues while gaining
basic technology skills and strategies.

We encourage you to bring materials you need to begin your projects during
the week. We provide just-in-time support to assist you to finish these
projects during the next year. All of this in a relaxing, collaborative
atmosphere away from daily brushfires that have interfered with you learning
technology in the past. Some have brought their family to enjoy all the
Central Texas, Austin/San Antonio corridor has to offer.

Navigate around the webpage to find out more about TIDE and register at:

Take a technology vacation with us at the 8th annual TIDE, July 23 28,
2006.
