The Miami Beach Art Deco District: Using Buildings to Tell Stories Workshops for Teachers June 26-30 and July 10-14, 2006 Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, these weeklong seminars give K-12 educators the opportunity to engage in intensive study of important topics in American history. The workshops will benefit teachers of U.S. history, literature, art, geography, social studies, American studies, and other areas. The Wolfsonian-FIU, a museum of art and design located in the Art Deco District, and its partner, the Miami Design Preservation League will host all workshop activities. Participants receive a $500 stipend.
