Opens the Writing Center four days a week and oversees the physical aspects of the Center. Monitors and assists students with signing on to TutorTrac and other computer software. Assists in developing publicity for the Writing Center. Essential Functions 70% - Assists students with all phases of the writing process, including drafting, revising and editing; works with students on writing projects for courses in a variety of disciplines; tutors students in English grammar and composition; may assist students with basic computer procedures, including signing in, using Writing Center software and instructional resources and aids. 15% - Assists with coordinating and organizing Writing Center tutor training sessions and meetings; participates in selection of student workers; oversees and trains student workers; schedules part-time tutors; 15% - Schedules the Writing Center operations; maintains instructional materials; orders supplies, maintains accurate accounts of expenditures; establishes and maintains record-keeping systems; assists in developing publicity for the Writing Center.
