The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Central Connecticut State 
University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach courses in 
beginning algebra, intermediate algebra, and college level mathematics; 
help coordinate and provide resources and support for beginning and 
intermediate algebra instructors; research the effectiveness of the 
beginning and intermediate algebra program, along with other appropriate 
scholarship; and provide service to the department and university.  We are 
particularly interested in hiring a faculty member with active scholarly 
interests in developmental mathematics or mathematics education.  
Required Qualifications:  Earned doctorate in mathematics education, 
mathematics, developmental education, or related field; ABD will be 
considered.  
Preference will be given to candidates who in addition to meeting the 
required qualifications have a masterís degree in mathematics, at least 
two-years of full-time experience teaching beginning and/or intermediate 
algebra at the college level, and have research aligned with 
developmental/remedial mathematics education.
