Hi All, I'm new to the field & am now responsible to hiring, training & supervising our peer tutors in the areas of Business, Economics, Education and the Social & Behavioral Sciences. We have a CRLA accredited tutor program and have done a great job with our tutors and students. We do a wonderful initial training program and I'm hoping to develop a regular monthly supplemental training program. I'm looking to build on our record of success; however, I need some assistance. I'd like to get recommendations for the best how-to books on tutor training. Especially books that don't focus primarily on writing, math or the natural sciences. I was in faculty development for a few years and hope someone will direct me to a book similar to the Cross & Angelo "Classroom Assessment Techniques" for teaching but one focused on tutoring assessment techniques. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for your assistance. Frank *********************************************** G.
