I second the recommendation for David Arendale. I had the opportunity
to hear and interact with him some years ago at NADE.

Hi Karyn,

I recommend Dr. David Arendale, an expert and professor on developmental
education issues. He spoke at our Peer Assisted Study Skills conference
3 years ago and was sensational. He is very aware of DE issues and is
on the forefront of research. Dr. Arendale is at the U.
of Minnesota and his email address is: [log in to unmask]

Hello friends

The Developmental Education Association of Maryland is seeking a
potential keynote speaker for its annual Spring Conference to be held on
Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland.

The theme of our conference is THE NEW FACE OF DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION.
The concept is that our student demographics, in regards to skill sets,
are changing and we need, as a professional organization, address this
change in order to better support our students. If anyone can refer
potential speakers directly to me it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
