Good point about Aristotle, but his tutor may have been Plato. While we
know that Aristotle attended Plato's Academy, we cannot be certain that
Plato actually tutored him. What we do know for certain is that Socrates
was a teacher to Plato, and Aristotle tutored Alexander the Great.

Hi All,

I have been following this string of e-mails regarding changing the name
tutor.  It really seems to have struck a chord in many of us.  This
would be an interesting round table discussion for CRLA (next year in
Oregon!!??) or NTA in Colorado in April.  I like to tell students that
Aristotle had a tutor and his name was Socrates.
