during Museum Nights:

Thursday, September 27
6 p.m. Harn Eminent Scholar Lecture: Ute Meta Bauer, Associate Professor and
Director of the Visual Arts Program at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT), "Architectures of Discourse - The Potential and
Problematic of Curated Exhibitions"

8 p.m. UF Creative Writing Faculty Reading: Readings of recent fiction by
Jill Ciment, David Leavitt, Padgett Powell and Mary Robison, distinguished
authors and faculty members from MFA@FLA, the University of Florida's
program in creative writing. 

Refreshments will be available. Harn galleries open until 9 p.m.

Friday, September 28
Showcasing the Possibilities campus-wide symposia

Opening day of our newest exhibition, Photographic Formalities: From Ansel
Adams to Weegee

11 a.m. Lecture: Mexwell L. Anderson, director of the Indianapolis Museum of
Art (5th largest art museum in the U.S.) and former director of the Whitney
Museum of Art. 

1:30-3 p.m. Public Dessert Reception

2-4 p.m. Gallery Talks: Four Harn curators in six galleries

3-4 p.m. Art class demonstrations
