soliciting proposals for its Graduate Student Brownbag Series. Graduate
students in any discipline, whose research focuses on Europe (broadly
defined), are encouraged to submit proposals. Students whose proposals are
selected will be invited to present their research at the weekly brownbag
series. Proposals should consist of a short (150 words) description of the
research project and its relevance to European studies, and should be sent
by e-mail to Petia Kostadinova ([log in to unmask]) or in hard copy to:

There is no deadline for submissions and proposals will be reviewed on a
regular basis. The brownbag series meets once a week (Tuesdays; 5th period;
location TBA) during the academic year. The CES provides chips and sodas,
and attendees are encouraged to bring brownbag lunches. The CES will also
award one $500 annual award for the best graduate brownbag paper. In order
to be considered for the award, students whose proposals were selected for
the series will be asked to submit a research paper (on the topic of their
brownbag presentation). A hard copy of the paper will be due on the day of
the presentation at the above address.
