displayed some of open source's best.

7:00 - 7:50 Presentation - "Introduction to Django" | Eric Lavigne

Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid
development and clean, pragmatic design.

Developed and used over two years by a fast-moving online-news
operation, Django was designed to handle two challenges: the intensive
deadlines of a newsroom and the stringent requirements of the
experienced Web developers who wrote it. It lets you build
high-performing, elegant Web applications quickly.

Eric Lavigne will graduate imminently from the University of Florida's
Nuclear Science program. When he is not writing software to detect
"particles that will do bad things to you" (TM), he enjoys studying
programming frameworks and functional programming. After graduation,
Eric will join the IT team of the Bureau of Economic and Business
Research in Gainesville, Florida.
