Energy crunch pushes up price of farm commodities
CanWest News Service, Wednesday, February 28, 2007

"WINNIPEG -- Forget everything you thought you knew about agricultural
economics -- itís all changed, and it will change the way everything is
priced from the farm gate to the dinner table. And youíve got the search
for oil substitutes -- like ethanol -- to thank for it.

For the first time, farm commodity prices are being hitched to the price
of oil, and that is changing the way farm commodity prices are set."
