A female Western spindalis was seen Saturday, April 28, 6:30pm by Rick Newman
and myself at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center while bird banding with mist nets. It
was within a few feet of the east (intracoastal) side of the boardwalk loop
in a Gumbo Limbo tree and in other fruiting trees for about 5 minutes. It was
again seen at 9:30am today (April 29) by Brian Hope and myself close to the
western side of the boardwalk loop feeding in the company of several warblers.

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is in Boca Raton on Route A1A (1801 N.Ocean Blvd)
north of Palmetto Park Rd and south of Spanish River Blvd.
