Hmm I am probably missing it, but I did not see _physical_ records
management. MS uses the term "records center" as a term for an
electronic repository. (Ugh this will be confusing for users)

So to make it short:

SharePoint cannot assist with the management of your physical records
(Boxes, Videos, Microfilms, etc...)
And furthermore it is more difficult to manage your electronic records
with SharePoint, than it is with most other RM products. 

Please do not only look at SharePoint when considering the purchase of a
RM product.
SharePoint might be able to do RM, but I still believe that there are
products out there that do it better.

That is just my opinion, I could be right~
