Ca noon today, three Swallow-tailed Kites very low aloft (<100 ft.) over Casset Ave. and within a few blocks of I-10 in Jacksonville today. For those unfamiliar with Jacksonville, this is a densely developed urban area with more concrete and asphalt than flora and with heavy traffic. The birds weren't under observation long enough to determine if they were foraging over the tree canopy or just passing through the area.
