A one megawatt biogas run fuel cell was built in 2004 and allowed
a 2 year trial in King County, Washington. Biogas came from a
water treatment plant and was generated from anaerobically
digesting sludge. The Fuel cell operated effectively and concluded
that biogas/natural gas fuel cells are a viable and smooth running
technology. Interesting points to explore are the figures of the
fuel cell process at the plant and the powerpoint on the fuel
cell's performance (done in 2006).
