Susan,
I would also be interested in seeing your presentation on "How to Fall
in Love with Math". I have ordered the workbook suggested by Karey - it
sounds like you have found it to be an excellent resource as well.

I am an instructor for the Developmental Studies Dept. at Delaware
Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, in Georgetown Delaware. I
teach basic and pre-tech math, pre-tech reading and Mastering College
Life, a one credit course designed for first year college
students(currently not a mandatory class).

Our campus is looking at ways to address retention issues and beginning
this semester, I have been assigned additional responsibilities in our
dept. as a retention instructor. I am looking for any programs or "best
practices" that other institutions have put into place that address
retention issues, especially for first year students. Thanks!
