The Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) in Rhode Island is seeking a qualified applicant for an Instructor (Learning Skills) position. The incumbent serves as Director of the Learning Skills Development Program which requires professional knowledge of learning skills curricula and their application in chemistry, English, mathematics and physics disciplines. Implements program to increase the learning rates of midshipman and cadet candidates. Teaches twelve hours per week during the first two trimesters, counsels selected candidates on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year, and reports on academic progress of selected candidates to the Academic Dean and Commanding Officer and their staffs. Trains faculty and staff on the principles of learning skills development and helps them incorporate learning skills into curricula and daily work with students. This a full time, permanent, ten-month, seasonal position.   Applications will only be accepted through the Department of Navy’s Human Resources Website (see below).
