Hi all
Visited the GTMNERR area these past two days. The first day, the trails
were occluded with a bike race that took up the entire parking lot and trails.
Still managed to sneak in a few birds here and there, although I only had a
little over an hour for birding each day due to the crowds.

These are my notables:

Great blue herons (flying over in groups from the ocean at dawn)
Cormorants (arriving in nice numbers - had a low flying group of 75 birds -
low enough to hear the wing beats)
Caspian terns
Black-bellied plovers
Clapper rails (seen)
Black terns (still a few at 6 mile boat ramp)
Common ground doves
Eastern wood pewee (heard)
Great-crested flycatcher
Northern parula
Common yellowthroat (FOS)
Red-eyed vireo
White-eyed vireo
Prairie warbler
Northern waterthrush (FOS)

thanks
