Bailey Rd. Soccer Fields, Amelia Island 7 PM: An early evening visit found the fields just emptying of players, but with 4 Buff-breasted Sandpiper lingering in the field's SW corner with a lone Killdeer. Obviously, the birds remained in a remote corner of the field during the afternoon's heavy activities. Perched on the many soccer goals, bleachers and perimeter fence were 10+ Eastern Bluebirds.

Note: Sunday visitors may find the entry gate locked, but birders are permitted in the complex - step over the low, pole gate to the left of the main gate, then walk around the softball field fence to its outfield entrance and gain access to the soccer fields through the softball complex sidewalk.
