Final Reminder – Last Day to Make Changes to Supervisory Committee

If you intend to graduate at the end of Summer Semester 2008, you must comply with the following deadlines:

(1) Final Graduation Application Deadline:

The final degree application deadline for Summer Semester 2008 is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008. The application for graduation is available at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/pdf/latedegreeapp.pdf. In an effort to streamline this process, graduate students are no longer required to submit the petition portion of the late degree application packet.

It is your responsibility to verify that your degree program information is correct with your academic unit. Your degree program information is available by selecting GIMS from the Quick Links menu on myUFL.edu.

Submit your degree application to UF Graduate School Student Records (106 Grinter Hall). There is no fee.

NOTE: Late degree applications will not be accepted by the UF Graduate School after this deadline.

(2) Committee Change and Credit Transfer Deadline:

All changes to your supervisory committee (including a change from thesis to nonthesis option) and academic unit requests for transfer of graduate credit (including combined degree program participants) must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008.

(3) Degree Program Change

All changes to your degree program—including degree title, college, major, and, if applicable, minor and or concentration--must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008.

(4) Submission of Concurrent and Nontraditional Doctoral/Master’s Degree Program:

Complete packet of materials for participation in a concurrent and or nontraditional doctoral/master’s degree programs, including up to date programs of study, must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008.

(5) Grade Resolution Deadline:

Problem grades, such as I (Incomplete) or NG (No Grade Reported), must be completely resolved by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2008. Contact your department to resolve any outstanding issues; they will work with the Graduate School on your behalf.

(6) Grade Point Average Requirements:

Students are required to have a 3.00 overall grade point average and 3.00 major (and minor, if applicable) grade point average to graduate.
