Thanks to everyone who has responded with great suggestions. We're
really not struggling with either the request or the SI leader. She's a
great SI leader and we will definitely honor her request.

But I sent out the question because I knew that I would get ideas from
the listserv that we hadn't thought about. For example, suggesting that
she take out a restraining order on the individual did not occur to me.
And stressing to her that she always have her cell phone handy is
something else that I might not have thought to tell her.

Also, I wanted others to know about the problem. Maybe I'm just out of
touch with today's reality, but it never occurred to me that we should
not put the names of the students leading the SI sessions on our
website. We even have their pictures on the site! We will now take all
names and photos off of the site as a pre-emptive measure to ensure the
safety of all of our students. If it happened once, it can happen again.

Thanks again for all of the great suggestions.

Have a wonderful Mardi Gras weekend! :-)

Are you struggling with the request or with the SI leader?

I'd think the request should be honored regardless.

Hello Listers,

We got a request from an SI leader that we're struggling with. His
request is printed verbatim below.

"Is there any way that the times/locations of my SI sessions could be
taken off the SI website? The students that I SI for know where/when it
is. There is an irrational woman who is trying to find me and I think
that listing is the only way she could. Let me know."

Have you ever dealt with such a request? If so, how did you handle it.
If not, how WOULD you handle it?

All ideas most welcome!

Thanks in advance,
Saundra
