To my RIM colleagues & Kelley Boyle ,

To obtain a list of Function based - General Disposal Schedules, -
Disposition Schedules or - Retention & Disposal Schedules - a search on
Google would not go astray.

There are numerous offerings by Australian Government & University
organisations who make their information available online.

The National Australian Archives - NAA, the SRO - New South Wales &
Tasmania's Archives plus others have lists detailing Functional Retention
Schedules available.

I trust that this information is of assistance.

*A note of caution*. No two organisations Controlled Vocabulary CV,
Thesaurus & resultant Business Classification Scheme BCS is
interchangeable though the information available from the Google hits will
provide a basis for your understanding. Allow yourself somewhere between a
low of 500 to a high of 1,000 hours [or more for more complex organisations
or government departments] to create a quality BCS based on Function
Classification rules that meet the ISO 15489 guidelines.

FUNCTIONAL is the only way to go!

Regards, Laurie
