Another candy promotion idea came through today on the Supplemental
Instruction list serve (with "sweet" ideas for lovers of puns):

...we make "candy cards" as promotional reminders that have individually
wrapped penny candies attached. These are handed out at sessions, after
tests, and at campus preview days. Some examples:
Come to SI.....see how we "roll" (with Tootsie Rolls attached)
The semester's heating up.....don't burn out yet.....come to SI (with a
fireball attached)
Be a "star bursting" with knowledge! Come to SI (with a Starburst
attached)
"Smarties" go to SI (with a roll of Smarties attached)
SI is "Mint" for you (with a peppermint attached)
SI is "Lifesaver" (with a Lifesaver attached)

Hope this helps!

Sad that we all resort to candy... But we use Mounds and Rocky Roads.

"Mounds of homework? Contact a tutor!"
"Don't let school become a Rocky Road. Contact an Academic Coach!"

I like the pop rocks idea, too. I might have to steal that for next
year!
