This morning, 6/11, at 7:30 a.m. I found a late (or is that early?) adult Common Tern in breeding plumage on the beach on the south side (New Smyrna Beach) of Ponce deLeon Inlet, Volusia County. This area is part of Smyrna Dunes Park. That makes six species of terns in the Inlet in the last three days - Royal, Sandwich, Least, Black, Gull-billed and now Common Tern.
