He may be able to purchase self-tutorial software from Intelligent
Tutor. I believe it can be purchased on CD.

Subject: math helps

Hello, fellow listers-

I need some suggestions for some resources to suggest to an older
returning student. He is taking General Education math, which is our
first college-level math course for students not enrolled in College
Algebra or Statistics. However, he feels his math skills are somewhat
rusty and could use some extra support. Ordinarily, I'd set him up with
a tutor, but he works full-time and isn't available at the same times as
our experienced math tutors. He has a computer but no home internet
access, so online help is not an option. He's on campus only to go to
class and occasionally meet with his adviser.

All the resources I have are either far below his level or online. I'd
appreciate any suggestions you might have.

If you want to contact me off-list, send your suggestions to

Thanks in advance!
