DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL****** June 22, 2009 To: Graduate Students Planning For Summer B/C 2009 Graduation cc: Graduate Coordinators; Graduate Administrative Staff RE: Reminder -- Deadline to Apply for Summer B/C 2009 Graduation Reminder -- Deadline to Make Changes to Degree Program Reminder - Deadline to Make Changes to Supervisory Committee The Graduate School will not be extending the upcoming deadline for degree applications, changes to the composition of your supervisory committee and/or degree program data. If you intend to graduate at the end of Summer B/C Semester 2009, you must comply with the following deadlines: (1) Verify Degree Program and Supervisory Committee: You are responsible for making certain that the degree program information on file at the Graduate School is correct. This information is located in the Graduate Information Management System (GIMS). Use this link for instructions about how to access GIMS http://gradschool.ufl.edu/downloads/gims-display-students.pdf. All changes to your degree program-including degree title, college, major, and, if applicable, minor and or concentration--must be entered into GIMS by your academic unit no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2009. All changes to your supervisory committee (including a change from thesis to nonthesis option) must be entered into GIMS by your academic unit no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2009. If there are changes, you must contact your academic program staff person IMMEDIATELY. Graduate School staff DO NOT make changes; only the academic unit makes changes. If there is incorrect or missing data about your degree program or supervisory committee AFTER July 1, 2009, you will be deleted from the degree list for Summer B/C 2009. You will need to register and apply for your degree in another semester. (2) Final Graduation Application Deadline: The degree application deadline for Summer B/C Semester 2009 is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Application for students enrolled in Summer B/C courses is available on-line at http://www.isis.ufl.edu/. If you are enrolled in Summer A 2009 course work ONLY and experience any difficulty applying via ISIS, submit a late degree application to UF Graduate School Student Records (106 Grinter Hall) by the July 1, 2009 deadline. Graduate students should not submit the petition portion of the late degree application packet. NOTE: Degree applications will not be accepted by the UF Graduate School after this deadline. (3) Credit Transfer Deadline: The Graduate School must receive all requests for transfer credit from academic units by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. (4) Submission of Concurrent and Nontraditional Doctoral/Master's Degree Program: You must submit a complete packet of materials for participation in a concurrent and or nontraditional doctoral/master's degree programs, including up-to-date programs of study no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. (5) Grade Resolution Deadline: Review your transcript for pending or punitive grades. Problem grades, such as I (Incomplete) or NG (No Grade Reported), must appear on your transcript with a grade assignment by 5:00 p.m. on MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 2009. Change of Grade forms "in process" will not satisfy this deadline. (6) Grade Point Average Requirements: Students are required to have a 3.00 overall grade point average and 3.00 major (and minor, if applicable) grade point average to graduate.
