This afternoon, 1/12, about 4:30 p.m., I found a 1st winter Thayer's Gull on the beach in Daytona Beach Shores. The bird showed conspicuous silvery underside of the primaries, a soft rounded head, fairly small all dark bill, dark-centered tertials, and bright pink legs. The upper surface of the primaries were pale on the inner vanes of the outer primaries.
