About 7:30 this AM, just west of the trail from Gemini Springs County Park to Lake Monroe Park, I spotted a brilliant orange BALTIMORE ORIOLE reflecting the rising sun in the top of a leafless tree. Other than birds normally expected, the only other birds of  interest were a bright PRAIRIE WARBLER and a nice-sized group of 67 HOODED MERGANSERS on the lake.
