Hey Everybirdy, Quick hit- Peacock's Pocket is open. Drove it last weekend and found a couple of Stilt Sandpipers with about 100 Long-billed Dowitchers. No Long-billed today. But in the area of the 6 wooden pilings, were a few hundred Dunlin on the Indian River lagoon side foraging amidst some fresh shoots of river grass. Occassionally flushing for no apparent reason, the flock mixes frequently, but I found at least half dozen Stilt Sandpipers among them. It will test your patience, particularly on a grey day like today!! Also found a lone Red Knot as well. Plenty of yellowlegs (both sp.), Glossy Ibis, Pied-billed Grebes (had one flock of 21 swiimming together), and scattered Northern Shovelers and Coots. See you out there!
