On 1/27/09 at St. Marks NWR, a single White-faced ibis was observed feeding and preening along the northern side of the #122 dike in the SW corner of Stoney Bayou No.2. The bird was found at 9.40am. There were no other ibises nearby however the red iris, reddish facial skin, and gray bill were distinctive. In addition the bird appeared to have an overall rosier iridescence compared with glossy ibis.
Sincerely, Chris Mason Tallahassee
