ATP On-Line Workshop Series-Final Call


The ATP is happy to offer the FINAL call for the next in its continuing
series of on-line workshops.  This workshop, Practical Applications and
Techniques to Meet Student Learning Needs: The Dos and Don'ts of Bloom's
Taxonomy and Other Theories of Learning  will be offered as an open
entry/open exit workshop where participants may visit any module at any
time.  This workshop will be offered January 30 through February 28,


The last day for registration for this workshop is January 28, 2009.


The workshop topics include: 1) Introduction: A Question of Pedagogy; 2)
Multisensory Learning: Theory and Practice; 3) Multiple Intelligences;
4-9) Bloom's Taxonomy Levels and Practical Applications to Meeting
Student Needs for Learning; and 10) Using Small Group Interaction. 


Workshop presenters include: Cora Dzubak, Penn State University at York;
Deborah Hardwick, Houston community College; Jack Truschel, East
Stroudsburg University; Jim Valkenburg, Delta College.


A Chat Room feature will be included in this workshop.  Scheduled chats
for each module will make communication between participants and
presenters easier and will bring more in-depth interaction. 

The intended audience is tutors and tutor trainers.   This workshop will
count as two CEUs toward ATP Tutor or Tutor Trainer Certification.  A
certificate of completion will be granted upon completion of the

The cost of this workshop is $60 for ATP members and $90 for
non-members.  However, you may become a member and enroll for the
workshop at the same time.   New membership dues are $30 per year.
Arrangements for payment will be honored, and participants will be
registered and passwords e-mailed in order to start the workshop on
time.  Instructions for the use of the teaching/learning platform will
