Thousands of New Jobs, Megawatts of Renewable Energy, Florida’s Green Economy BOOMING
ONLY YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN
Legislators tell us they MUST see YOUR Faces in Tallahassee in order to pass a
Renewable Energy Dividend policy state wide

Democrats and Republicans are working together for a statewide Renewable Energy Dividend Policy (REDs policy)*

Representative Kreegel Republican, Chair of the House Energy and Utility Committee, is working with Representative Fitzgerald Democrat on a bill for a state wide Renewable Energy Dividend (RED) policy. It is somewhat unusual to have Democrats and Republicans working together but this policy has the potential to do so much for Florida’s economy that political differences are being set aside.

Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy held 5 town hall meetings in 5 cities last week.

Legislators on the panels at these meetings told us that they will support a state wide Renewable Energy Dividend (REDs) policy IF the see wide spread support –
The legislators all said that in order for a needed majority of legislators to vote for REDs they must see wide support and that the most effective way to demonstrate this support in the eyes of the legislators is to come to Tallahasseein large numbers for lobby day, March 24th

*RED is the same thing as a Feed in Tariff – but Floridalegislators prefer the term Renewable Energy Dividend. Gainesvilleis the first and only city so far in the USto have this policy.
