ATP On-Line Workshop Series-Second Call The ATP is happy to announce the next in its continuing series of on-line workshops. This workshop, Mastery and Management: Finding Ways to Support Student Excellence will be offered as an open entry/open exit workshop where participants may visit any module at any time. This workshop will be offered June 19 through July 19, 2009. The workshop topics include: 1) Introduction: Management and Excellence-the Qualities of Leadership; 2) Small Group Academic Support; 3) Managing Small Group Academic Support; 4) Mastery Labs (math and writing); 5) Managing Mastery Labs; 6) Managing and Motivating Peer Staff; 7) Working with Faculty; 8) Leadership 9) Scenarios Workshop presenters include: Debra Boyle, Private Tutor; Maija Braaten, University of Montevallo; Darlene Buck, Northern Michigan University; Deborah Hardwick, Houston Community College; Darla McCann, Anoka Ramsey Community College; Kim Nolt, Yakima Valley Community College; Suzanne Robertshaw, Rollins College; Jack Truschel, East Stroudsburg University; Jim Valkenburg, Delta College; Dorothy Williams, Antelope Valley College; LaToya Williams, Bradford Academy Public Charter School; Dorothy Williams, Antelope Valley College. A Chat Room feature will be included in this workshop. Scheduled chats for each module will make communication between participants and presenters easier and will bring more in-depth interaction. The intended audience is tutors and tutor trainers. This workshop will count as two CEUs toward ATP Tutor or Tutor Trainer Certification. A certificate of completion will be granted upon completion of the workshop. The cost of this workshop is $60 for ATP members and $90 for non-members. However, you may become a member and enroll for the workshop at the same time. New membership dues are $30 per year. Arrangements for payment will be honored, and participants will be registered and passwords e-mailed in order to start the workshop on time.
